Day 1

Kathmandu - 1300m altitude

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu and meet, assist and transfer to the hotel with our representative. Welcome drinks on arrival and briefing of tour program by one of our representative .

Day 2

Kathmandu – Pokhara - 900m altitude (B)

After Breakfast drive to Pokhara. It is around 6 hours drive from Kathmandu. Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty, situated at an altitude of 900m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley. The enchanting town has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. Check in hotel. Evening enjoy walking along the bank of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the blue Phewa Lake waters.

Day 3

Pokhara Sightseeing (B)

Early in the morning excursion to Sarangkot hill for closer Mountain View. Situated at an altitude of 1,592m, Sarangkot offers the magnificent view of Sunrise over Mt. Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Massif (weather permitting). After enjoying the beauty of nature, return to hotel for breakfast. After Breakfast start half day sightseeing at Pokhara’s traditional old bazaar is colorful and is ethnically diverse market, Bindhyabasini Temple dedicated to Goddess, Bhagawati, and another manifestation of Shati., Gupteshower Cave- popular for the different natural forms made from limestone deposits and Devi’s Fall which comes to its gushing best just before disappearing underground. Later you will have one hour boating in Phewa Lake. Evening you will have leisure.

Day 4

Pokhara- Chitwan (B, L, D)

After breakfast drive to Chitwan in Tourist Coach. It is 150 km and around 5 hour drive from Pokhara. All the way you will follow by the Trisuli River. After checking in to the hotel and getting refreshed you will be briefed about full nature programs by our naturalist guide. Then we head on for activities. There will be a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening, dinner with cultural program by ethnic tribal people with their stick dance and tribal drums.

Day 5

Chitwan (B, L, D)

Wake-up calls followed by tea or coffee and proceed for Bird watching. Our guides will help
you to identify some of the species of these birds. After Breakfast visit Elephant Breeding Centre
-learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to elephant stables and go for Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for bird watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the only fish eating Gharial. After lunch go for elephant safari, an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, monkeys, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger. You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home. Evening Slide presentation: One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Overnight at Chitwan.

Day 6

Chitwan –Kathmandu Sightseeing (B)

After Breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu for around 5 hours and start half day sightseeing at UNESCO heritage sites. Sightseeing at Syambhunath- A Monkey Temple from where you can see the magnificent views of Kathmandu Valley and tribute to Buddhism and Patan Durbar Square a distinct place for arts and architecture that reflect on each temple, monument and palace building that were mostly built during the Malla period between 16th, 17th and 18th century. Rest of the time is free on your own.

Day 7

Paro, Paro - Thimphu (B, L, D)

Arrive Paro by Druk Air, the only national carrier. The flight offers you view of mountains and landscapes. Upon arriving the Paro Valley and after completing visa formalities, you will be met by our representative at the airport. We will then drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. The journey would take us one and half hours.
Visit to Ta Dzong, built in 17th century, as watchtower to defend Paro Dzong and the Paro valley. The fortress was later converted into the National Museum in 1968 by the Third King. It has rich collections of antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons and Bhutan’s renowned postage stamps. Below the Ta Dzong, is the fascinating Rinpung Dzong meaning ‘fortress of the heap of jewels’, which is the seat of the Paro district built in 1645 by Shadrung Ngawang Namgyal. Drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. The journey would take us one and half hours. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 8

Thimphu to Punakha (B, L, D)

Drive over the DochuLa pass in the morning. On clear weather, we can see around 200 miles of Himalayan summits bordering northern Bhutan. As we descend from the pass, we will notice that the vegetation changes from sub-alpine to sub-tropical. At the lower elevation, we can see banana plants, cactus and other semi-tropical plants, and the green terraced rice fields of Punakha. We begin our explorations of Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and then take a hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the monastery dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley” Divine Madman” knows for his outrageous behavior. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9

Punakha to Paro (B, L, D)

On arriving Paro visit, Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the two oldest monasteries built in Bhutan by the King of Tibet, Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century and most sacred monasteries of Bhutan.
Then, we drive towards the north to see the Drukgyel Dzong, in ruins. It was built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1649 to commemorate a victory over the Tibetan forces. Unfortunately the fortress was destroyed by fire and was never rebuilt. On clear weather, we will be able to see Mt. Chomolhari from the Drukgyal Dzong. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 10

Hike to Tiger nest (B, L, D)

Paro is a valley of religion and myth. The most famous landmark, the Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), stands on a granite cliff about 800m above the valley. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, a famous Buddhist saint, flew to Paro on a tigress and meditated at Taktsang. The monastery is considered as a national treasure of Bhutan. The hike to Taktsang would take us around two and half hours. To reach a cafeteria, a point from where one can enjoy a great view of the monastery is more than an hour walk from the road-head uphill. Those interested can walk further 45 minutes uphill to get a closer view of the monastery and return to the cafeteria for lunch. The journey downward to the road-head would take us less than one and half hours.

Day 11

Paro- Kathmandu (B)

After breakfast in the hotel, drive to the airport (Paro) and fly back to Kathmandu. Check in hotel. You can spend the remaining time strolling around touristy market; perhaps you can do some shopping.

Day 12

Kathmandu- Lhasa (B)

Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa which is 1 hour and 10 minutes flight from Kathmandu. Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa over the Himalayas is considered one as the most beautiful flights in the world which takes us over Everest (8848m) and Kanchenjunga (8536m). Those who wish to join in Lhasa, can arrive Lhasa on the date mentioned. We will be meeting at Gonggar Airport by our Tibetan guide. After immigration formalities take a 1.5-hour drive along 93 km road leading to Lhasa lying at an altitude of 3,650m/11,972ft meters. It's advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasa's altitude.

Day 13

Potala Palace; Jokhang temple & Barkhor Street (B)

Morning, visit visit Sera Monastery, which is one of the 'great three' Gelukpa university monasteries of Tibet. After lunch, guests will process to visit Jokhang Temple and shopping at Barghor Street. The temple was built for the honor of Bhrikuti (the Nepalese princess with whom the Sordzanggampo king married).

Day 14

Potala Palace- Shigatse via Northern route (B)

Morning, Potala Palace, it was the chief residence of the Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama fled to Dharamsala, India, in 1959. Today the Potala Palace has been converted into a museum by the Chinese government, but still a sacred place of worship for Tibetan Buddhists. Later drive to Shigatse. It is the second largest city of Tibet and almost 4-5 hour driving

Day 15

Visit Tashilumpho. Drive to Lhasa via Gyantse (B)

After Breakfast visit Tashilumpho monastery, one of the most functioning monasteries in Tibet. At the end of the day guide will escorts you to drive back to Lhasa via Gyantse. It is around 5 hours drive to Lhasa. Overnight at Lhasa
